On the move: Jewish women and men in football | Evening Event
It has long been recognised that women are sometimes more successful than men in football. However, less so who is Jewish in the male-dominated domain. On the occasion of the 2024 European Football Championship, we are focusing on Jewish female footballers as well as their male colleagues. What challenges do they face? Do the experiences they have in the field have an impact on their identity? Can religiosity be combined with a tight training schedule? And how can equal opportunities and inclusion be further expanded in the future?
Our renowned guests provide insights into their personal experiences and discuss how football can serve as a platform for integration, empowerment and social change.
Guests: Alon Meyer (President Makkabi Deutschland e.V.), Katharina Kiel (Technical Director Eintracht Frankfurt) and N.N.
The discussion will be moderated by Jacqueline Dreyhaupt
